FOLLANSBEE — John (Chico) Ciccolella, 61, of 1028 Clifton Street, died unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack at 7:35 a.m. today while en, route to work at the Follansbee Steel Corp. He was walking to work when he collapsed. He was dead, when an ambulance arrived. He was born Feb. 28, 1896, in Pettorano Sul Gizio, Italy, the son of the late Panfilo and Margaret Ferrelli Ciccolella. He came to the United States in 1909. Mr. Ciccolella was employed in the shipping department of Follansbee Steel. He was a member of St Anthony's Catholic Church, the Garibaldi Lodge, and the Elks Lodge, all of Follansbee. Mr. Ciccolella was married to Christine Lamonica June 28, 1934, in Steubenville. He leaves his widow; six daughters, Mrs. Margaret Trotta of Baltimore, Mrs. Mary Ann Suciu of Follansbee, Antonetta, Pauline, Jeanette and Sandra, all at home; two sons, John Ciccolella Jr. and Michael Ciccolella, both at home; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Anthony Cocco of Follansbee and Mrs. Maria Lancia in Italy; and two brothers, Andrew of Italy and Titino Dentino in California. Friends may call at the family home after 7 p.m. today. Requiem High Mass will be celebrated Friday at 9 a.m. in St. Anthony's Church with the Rev. Fr. John L. O'Reilly officiating.
