The 50th Wedding Anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Mariano P. Cipriani appeared in the Steubenville (Ohio) Herald Star on January 16, 1970
FOLLANSBEE -Mr. and Mrs. Mariano P. Cipriani of 361 Highland Avenue, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, January 18. A special anniversary mass will be celebrated in their honor at noon in St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Friends and relatives will be received at a reception in the Garibaldi Lodge rooms from 1:30-5 p.m. The former Angela Monaco and Mr. Cipriani were married January 22, 1920 in Pettorano sul Gizio, Italy. They have resided in Follansbee since coming to this country. They are the parents of six children: Mrs. Benjamin (Theresa) Morelli of Steubenville; Mrs. Joseph (Margaret) Diserio of Wellsburg, Mrs. Robert (Carol) Valenti and
Joseph B. Cipriani, both of Weirton, Mrs. Howard (Linda) Pfabe of Wellsburg and Romeo A. Cipriani at home. They also have 10 grandchildren. They are members of St. Anthony's Church. Mrs. Cipriani is a member of the Altar and Rosary Society of the church and the Sisters of the Garibaldi. Mr. Cipriani holds memberships in the Holy Name Society, Garibaldi and Eagle Lodges in Follansbee. Mr. Cipriani retired in 1962 from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.

Golden Wedding - Mr. and Mrs. Nick Berarducci
The 50th Wedding Anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Berarducci appeared in the Weirton (West Virginia) Daily Times on June 21, 1969
FOLLANSBEE - Mr. and Mrs. Nick Berarducci of 528 Rose Street, Follansbee, will observe their golden wedding anniversary July 3. Mr. Berarducci and the former Italia Monaco were married in La Chiesa Madre Church, Pettorano Sul Gizio, Italy, with the Rev. Fr. Luigi Voci performing the ceremony. They have two sons, Pete of Follansbee and Isidore of Follansbee, and four daughters, Mrs. Anna Crocetti of Steubenville; Mrs. Inez Oliver of Weirton; Mrs. Michael (Angeline) Kurclna of Follansbee, and Mrs. John (Evelyn) Manley of Mingo Junction. They have 11 grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Berarducci are members of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, where a mass will be celebrated in their honor at 10 a.m. Sunday, June 29. A reception will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. in St. Anthony's Church Hall. Mr. Berarducci retired March 1, 1965, after 40 years service from the Follansbee Plant of Wheeling Steel Corp.

Open house will be observed December 9 from 2:30 to 5 p.m. in K. of C. Hall at New Philadelphia for Mr. and Mrs. Dan Monaco of 316 West 4th Street, Dover. The couple will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of their wedding which was solemnized in Pettorano Sul Gizio, Italy, in 1912. Monaco came to the United States in 1908 and returned to Italy in 1912 and 1913. Mrs. Monaco joined him here in 1920. He retired 3 years ago after working at Republic Steel in Massillon and Reeves Steel in Dover. The couple's 7 children are Frank and Joseph Monaco, and Mrs. John (Rose) Voelm of Dover, Mrs. Albert (Dolonda) Margo of Strasburg, Mrs. John (Florence) Vesco of New Philadelphia, Herman of Alliance and Mrs. David (Norma) Dickerhoof of Louisville. There are 22 grandchildren.

The Rev. Fr. Anthony Monaco recently ordained into the Roman Catholic priesthood, will sing his first mass at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Steubenville tomorrow. He will be celebrant at a Solemn High Mass at 10 a.m. The Rev. Fr. Monaco is the brother of Mrs. John Ferrelli of 311 South 6th Street, and has visited in Steubenville frequently. Born in Pettorano Sul Gizio, Province of Aquila, Italy, he came to the United States in 1948 at the age of 14. He was educated in Milwaukee, Wis. where he resided with a brother Gino Monaco. He was ordained September 29 at St. Francis Seminary in Milwaukee and will return to Milwaukee for assignment to a parish in that area after the services Sunday.
