Joseph D'Aurora Sr., 82, of 712 Adams Street passed away at 8:25 a.m. Sunday, November 15, 1964 in the Ohio Valley Hospital, where he had been a patient since November llth. Born, October 7, 1882 in Pettorano Sul Gizio, Province of Aquila Italy. Son of the late Anthony and Angela Spagnoli D'Aurora. Came to the United States in 1903 and settled in Mingo Junction. In 1915, he moved to Steubenville and was self-employed as owner and operator of restaurant and cafe at corner of Adams and South 6th Street until his retirement in 1962. Married to the former Marie Costanzo, October 9, 1910 and she preceded him in death in 1955. He is survived by 3 sons, Anthony J. D'Aurora, Guy D'Aurora and Joseph D'Aurora all of Steubenville, Ohio; 2 daughters, Miss Angela D'Aurora and Miss Julia D'Aurora both at home; 1 brother Daniel D'Aurora of St. Petersburg, Florida; 1 niece, Mrs. Alda D'Aurora Daverio of Steubenville and 6 grandchildren. Preceded in death beside his parents and wife, by 1 infant daughter, Dora; 2 brothers Guy and Sebastian D'Aurora both of Italy; 3 sisters, Mrs. Frances DiStefano, Mrs. Carmella Carrara and Margaret D'Aurora all of Italy. Member of Columbus Club and St. Anthony Church where Solemn Requlem High Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m., Wednesday November 18, 1964. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Mosti Funeral Home 121 South Fourth Street, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., today. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. this evening in the funeral home.
