The obit of Biaggio Cocco appeared in the Weirton (West Virginia) Daily Times on October 5, 1962
FOLLANSBEE — Biaggio Cocco, 80, of 761 Virginia Avenue, died at 7 a.m. today in Gill Memorial Hospital, Steubenville where he had been a patient the past three days. He had been in fai1ing health the past four years. Mr. Cocco was a retired employee of the Follansbee Steel Co. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church of Follansbee and the Garibaldi Lodge of Follansbee. He leaves a son, Domenico Cocco of Sao Paulo, Brazil; two daughters, Palma and Kathryn, both in Sao Paulo and a brother, Anthony Cocco of Follansbee. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1918. A brother and a sister preceded him in death. Mr. Cocco was born Feb. 2, 1882, in Pettorano, Sul Gizio, Italy, a son of the late Domenico and Catherine Tacozza Cocco. He came to the United States in 1911. Friends may call at the James Funeral Home from 7 to 9 tonight; from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m to
9 p.m. Sunday. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. (As a side note, Biaggo was the brother of Anthony who married my great aunt Carmela Ciccoella)
