Cesidio E. DiFonzo, 74, of 2451 Chestnut Street died Friday, December 27, 1974 in the Ohio Valley Hospital at 3:15 pm, patient six days. Born October 3, 1900 in Pettorano sul Gizio, Providence Aquila, Italy, a son of the late Pasquale and Nicolette Cicone DiFonzo. Retired in 1970 from the 54 Inch Machine Shop Weirton Steel. Married July 10, 1924, to the former Carmela Cicone and she survives. Also surviving a son, Albert DiFonzo, Steubenville; two daughters, Mrs. Jesse (Mary) Milano, Weirton, Mrs. Thomas (Jeanette) Ossio, Steubenville; a sister, Mrs. Guy (Flora) Schiavo, Burgettstown, Pa; seven grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, and a brother John DiFonzo and a sister , Mrs. Cecila Taglione, both of Steubenville. Member of St. Anthony's Church where a Solemn Funeral High Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 am., Monday, December 30, 1974 with Msgr. Paul L. Richter, celebrant. Friends may call at the Mosti Funeral Home, Steubenville, 7-9 today and 2-4 and 7-9 Sunday. Rosary Sunday 7 p.m. Interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
